Making the crumble topping

  1. Take all purpose flour (maida) in a mixing bowl.

  2. Add in the brown sugar, baking powder, salt and cinnamon powder. You can light or dark brown sugar or even white sugar.

  4. Add in melted butter to the mixture. This is a quicker and more convenient way to make the crumble topping. If you want to make it in a traditional way, add cubes of cold butter and cut them into the flour till you get pea sized chunks.

Making the apple filling

  1. Wash and peel all the apples. You can leave the skins of the apples on too if you want.

  1. Grease a baking tray and arrange the apples in the tray, pressing slightly to pack them in.
