- 1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour (Gehun ka Atta)
- 3 Cup Water
- 1 Cup Sugar
- 3/4 Cup Ghee
- 1/4 Cup Dry Fruits like Almonds, Cashew Nuts and Raisins
Put the ghee in a pan and set the flame to medium.
3/4 Cup Ghee
Add whole wheat flour to the ghee.
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour (Gehun ka Atta)
Incorporate the flour into the ghee completely and keep stirring continuously. Make sure to not cook it on a high heat setting.
It needs to be cooked till the color of the flour starts changing to golden brown and you are able to smell the aroma of roasted wheat. It will also begin to release ghee.
Now turn the heat to high and add the water. The water gets absorbed by the flour in just a few seconds.
3 Cup Water
Stir vigorously to ensure that no lumps are formed in the process.
When the water has been absorbed, add sugar to the pan.
1 Cup Sugar
Mix well as the sugar melts due to the heat.
Sprinkle some finely chopped almonds and cashews for garnishing. This can be served both hot or after it has cooled down.
